The Join Nobody Else Publishes

Most sites list complaints and recalls in separate tables. We join them by system, so each page answers the question owners actually ask: people reported this problem - did a recall ever cover it?

How to Read a Record

Counts, Not Stories

What We Publish

Counts, systems, campaign numbers, dates, and summaries written by us. Never complaint narratives, never names or VINs, never a manufacturer's text copied word for word.

The Honest Caveat

What a Count Is Not

A complaint count is owner reports, not a failure rate. Older and higher-volume vehicles collect more reports. We never publish per-sales rates or reliability rankings - the data does not support them.

Your Specific Car

Check Your VIN at NHTSA

A model-year record cannot say whether your car is recalled. For that, use NHTSA's own VIN lookup - we link it on every page, because it is the authoritative check.

How to Read These Counts: complaint counts are owner reports to NHTSA, not failure rates. Older and higher-volume vehicles accumulate more reports, and counts are not adjusted for vehicles sold - no per-sales rate or reliability ranking is shown, because the public data does not support one.
